About the Position
Locum Jobs Online  is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Internal Medicine MD in Rome, New York, 13440!

We are seeking a  full-time Internal Medicine Nocturnist  to join a growing, supportive hospitalist team in a vibrant community.

Work a  7:00 PM – 7:00 AM schedule, 7 days on / 7 days off , with no on-call duties.

Manage an inpatient census of approximately 5–10 patients per night.

Admit patients from the emergency department and direct referrals, performing histories, physicals, and diagnostic assessments.

Collaborate with nursing, specialists, case managers, and ancillary teams to develop comprehensive patient care plans.

Monitor and manage acute medical conditions, including patients in the open ICU, with 24/7 intensivist support.

Document all clinical encounters accurately in the hospital EMR system.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, interdisciplinary rounds, and professional development activities.

Support a collaborative and educational environment for residents, students, or advanced practice providers, if applicable.

New graduates who are board eligible within 1 year are welcome.

Requirements

Board Eligible (within 1 year) or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Must hold or be willing to obtain a  New York medical license  and  DEA registration .

Clean malpractice and license history.

1 year of hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred but not required.

Guaranteed base salary:  $325,000 annually.

Starting bonus:  $15,000.
