Night Float Anesthesiologist - Garnet Health - Full Time

Open position for a night float anesthesiologist at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY, within an hour’s drive to Manhattan.

Garnet Health Medical Center is the only hospital in Orange County, NY, to earn Magnet redesignation and is a nonprofit medical center with more than 2,400 healthcare professionals. It opened as a state-of-the-art facility in 2011 and serves a broad base of patients from the area.

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient’s physiological condition
• Perform clinical interventions as needed

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician

• Shifts:
  
  7 on, 7 off (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Location:
  
  Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY
• Case assignments include:
  Endo, general, ortho, labor and delivery, radiology, URO, vascular, GYN, ENT, neuro, and plastics

• Salary: $550k
• Up to $100K sign-on package
