Overview
In the role of a Physician you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics. This is a pivotal role in a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated in a traditional emergency room.
Per Diem position in our Water Mill/Hamptons location. On Season from May to September and Off Season October-April
Responsibilities- Perform medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
- Perform medical procedures including obtaining IV access, phlebotomy, administering IV medications and IV fluids, and performing EKGs.
- Lead medical management of patients by coordinating with a team of PAs, nurses, and technicians to discuss assessments.
- Assess and treat COVID-related cases, including obtaining clinical samples, performing point-of-care testing, obtaining blood for antibody tests, providing symptom management and recommendations.
- Document clinical evaluations and treatments in the electronic health record (eClinical
Works). - Collaborate with the Medical Director and clinical team to ensure policies are followed and quality care is delivered in an innovative setting.
- Coordinate additional care with After Care, house calls teams, or Medical Partners as needed.
- Provide patient-centered empathetic communication, answering questions and ensuring comfort for patients and families.
- Contribute to related operational projects as needed and perform related duties upon request.
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
- Physician state license and ability to practice in NY State.
- ABEM board certified or board eligible.
- 2+ years of experience as a physician in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required upon hire.
- DEA license required.
- Excellent clinical care and patient satisfaction in emergency department and urgent care settings.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to use and learn systems (e.g., Slack, eCW, Salesforce, Humanity).
- Phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and medication administration.
- Comfortable with emergency department and urgent care patient populations.
- Adaptable in a fluid, multitasking environment.
- Strong process and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Range: $180-$195 per hour
This range applies to New York candidates only. Sollis is a multi-state employer, and pay may vary by location. Actual pay depends on factors such as experience, location, and education.
