Position Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a pediatrician specializing in infectious disease to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County
. The hospital provides outpatient health care for children and teens up to age 18 on campus and in community‑based Family Health Clinics. Kings County operates a renowned Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving 2.6 million children and maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University

NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County – 451 Clarkson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203

• Oversee inpatient consults for pediatric infectious disease cases (1 in
  3).
• Conduct ambulatory care sessions for pediatric infectious disease conditions, including pediatric HIV and exposed infants born to HIV‑positive mothers.
• Support the pediatric hospitalist team, as needed.
• Provide education and training to medical students, residents, hospital staff, and community partners.
• Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University available, commensurate with experience.
• Mentorship and growth opportunities for research, education, and administrative tracks based on candidate interest.

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Disease
• Board certification in Pediatrics
• Active medical license in New York State

• Annual Base Salary: $245,000* (based on a 40‑hour work week). Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $325,020**.
• Estimated compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $55,520.
• 401(k) Company Contribution:
  Employees are immediately vested in 3% of base earnings. After one year of service, an additional 7% of base earnings is contributed.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.
• Generous annual paid time off (PTO):
  Vacation, sick, holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, prescription, and dental coverage:
  Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage:
  Equal to 2x salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to the employee. Additional voluntary life and AD&D coverage available for the employee and family.
• Loan forgiveness:
  Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
• Medical malpractice coverage (occurrence‑based) provided at no cost to the employee.
• Healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
• Pre‑tax employee‑paid contributions for commuting expenses.
• Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
