Director of Psychiatric Emergency ServicesPhysician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services to the Behavioral Health department at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx (NCB) is a 213-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric and Specialty Ambulatory services.

The department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.

Opportunity DetailsDirect supervision of attending psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers and psychiatric PA staff.
Overseeing the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care and directly working with leaders in the other areas of the department including both in-patient and ambulatory programs, as well as the Emergency Medicine Department.
Assuming an important role in Patient Safety and Clinical Effectiveness.
Providing leadership in undergraduate medical education including active participation in the clinical and didactic teaching of medical students, PA students, Psychology Interns and Social Work students.
Incident review management and participation in departmental IR meetings.
Reviewing/revising guidelines for standards of care ensuring that the PES meets the DOH, CMS, Joint Commission and OMH standards and regulations.
Qualifications- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
- Completion of an approved Psychiatry residency training program.
- MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
- License to practice medicine in the State of NY.
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $303,000
* based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $373,300**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
