Cardiology Physician Assistant - Noninvasive /Diagnostic Suite to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx

Opportunity Details:
- Primarily care for patients within Non-Invasive Cardiology, including the Diagnostic Suite, cardiology clinics, and patient wards.
- Assess patients for cardiovascular disease, perform cardiac testing, provide clinical support, and collaborate with physicians to implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist with the administration of medications during Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Definity contrast, and bubble studies during echocardiogram testing.
- Review results of pre- and post-procedural testing and communicate findings to patients, families, and referring physicians.
- Conduct peer reviews with insurance carriers for pre-procedure or specialty pharmacy prescription approvals and refills.
- Assist patients in navigating the evaluation, procedure, and post-procedural follow-up process.
- See both new and follow-up patients.
- Participate in care coordination meetings.
- Contribute to the development of referral pathways and outreach to referring clinicians.
- May rotate between hospital (Jacobi and NCB).
- Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
- Current certification issued by the NCCPA
- BLS and ACLS required
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836
* based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
