Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physiatrist to the Rehab Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem
. Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

We are looking for a full‑time Physiatrist to join our team. The candidate will need to efficiently collaborate with the other three physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, clerical staff and nursing staff in order to provide best patient care in both ambulatory care and consultation services.

  • The candidate should be able to provide appropriate evaluation and prescription of a rehabilitation program for both ambulatory care patients and hospital consultations.
  • In order to optimize patient care, the candidate should be able to lead a team of medical professionals including physical therapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists.
  • There are no weekday evenings or weekend calls needed.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Able to perform Electrodiagnostic Studies, Botox injections, joint/trigger point injections, Hyaluronic acid injections
  • Experience with pediatric rehabilitation, wheelchair clinic, orthotic and prosthetic clinic, acupuncture, musculoskeletal US machine use.

Required:

  • Candidates must be board‑eligible or board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation to practice as a physician in the field of medical rehabilitation.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $202,032
* based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per‑diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $317,755**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per‑diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per‑diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:
    Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
