Nephrologist

Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Nephrologist to its Physician Affiliate Group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health
, a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital and the Health & Wellness Institute for outpatient services.

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension.
• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient nephrology care, including dialysis management (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis).
• Order and interpret renal‑specific diagnostic tests and develop evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on kidney disease, dialysis options, and transplant evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students, as applicable.

• Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Nephrology.
• Board certification/eligibility in Nephrology.
• Active and unrestricted NYS medical license.
• Experience working with an underserved patient population preferred.

• Annual base salary: $242,000 (Board Eligible); $247,000 (Board Certified) based on a 40‑hour work week.
• Estimated annual total compensation: $361,720 (Board Eligible) or $367,220 (Board Certified), including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and bonus.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000, contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested; 7% after one year of service.
• Annual continuing medical education (CME) reimbursement and generous annual paid time off (PTO).
