Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Optometrist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan

Opportunity Details:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and initiate treatment and management of eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, etc.
• Collaborate with Ophthalmology in co‑managing patients in subspecialty clinics and in pre‑ and post‑operative care.
• Manage patient triages, walk‑ins, and ocular emergencies in a hospital setting.
• Participate in administrative duties, such as answering e‑consults, triaging schedules, and reading screening photos from the diabetic photo screening program.

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
• 1 year of residency (recommended but not required)
• New York State License

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $140,411
* based on 40‑hour work week.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $154,452** which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
