) is adding three (3) Rheumatologists to join the Department of Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx
. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals which is the nation's largest public health system.
NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and
NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. If desired, all Medicine Faculty Members have Einstein Medical School appointments.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx has a vibrant Rheumatology Practice. The Practice boasts active Lupus Clinics, Joint Pain Clinics, Ultrasound Evaluation and Treatment Clinics, Arthritis Clinics, and a Biologic Infusion Center.

The NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Inpatient Rheumatology Service is very active, averaging approximately 7 consults per day while NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx averages 3-5 consults per day. Rheumatology Service at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx are divisions of the Department of Medicine which has approximately 110 full-time physicians and 162 medical residents. The NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx Department of Medicine has 15 Divisions with all medical specialties represented.

Opportunity Details:

• Seeking a full-time Rheumatologist Clinician Educator to join the Department of Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx in the Bronx, NY.
• The Division of Rheumatology is an academic practice sponsored by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) and supported by the Montefiore Medical Center Rheumatology Fellows.
• The Practice includes both inpatient and outpatient care and clinical supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students.
• At its peak, the practice has 1,700 unique patients between the two hospitals, with 52 receiving routine Biologic Infusion Therapy.
• The practice has an active Lupus Clinic, Joint Pain Clinics, Ultrasound Evaluation and Treatment Clinics and Arthritis Clinics.
• The NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Inpatient service averages 7 consults per day, while NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx averages 3-5 consults per day.
• The service is a Division of the Department of Medicine with a vision for 4 full-time Rheumatologists.
• NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx are teaching sites for the eight fellows at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM)-Montefiore Program.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or Eligibility in Rheumatology.
• Possess or eligible for a New York State Medical License.
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ultrasound training preferred, but not required.
• Proficient use of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), such as Epic desired but can be trained.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required but can be trained.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $224,220* (board eligible) and $229,600* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
