The Department of Family & Community Medicine at Albany Medical College seeks a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join its faculty in an academic primary care practice, with a focus on resident and medical student education. The successful candidate will become part of an established community practice at Albany Family Medicine (Community Care Physicians) and will benefit from privileges at both academic and community teaching hospitals.
Clinical and Educational Expertise: The department’s faculty expertise encompasses ambulatory primary care, geriatrics, sports medicine, outpatient procedures, inpatient medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, newborn care, gender‑affirming care, opioid use disorder treatment, women’s health (with or without obstetrics), abortion care, and point‑of‑care ultrasound. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will work alongside residents, pharmacists, and integrated behavioral health professionals.
Educational Mission: Faculty roles span undergraduate and graduate medical education. The 6‑6‑6 residency program holds ACGME accreditation with osteopathic recognition. We offer exciting opportunities in medical education, with Core Faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher (rank commensurate with experience) at Albany Medical College.
Responsibilities: Mentor and teach learners from medical students to residents and fellows. Engage in curriculum development, clinical instruction, and scholarly activities. Promote a compassionate practice rooted in family medicine.
