Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a
Physician Assistant - Cardiology to the group at
NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with

Opportunity Details:
  • Perform physical examination and obtain medical history, order labs, ECGs, chest X-rays, etc., on consult service and pre-procedure under Attending supervision.
  • Evaluate and interpret patient medications, laboratory, test results, and obtain consent for cardiac procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate referrals and follow-up for cardiac procedures (Cardiac Cath, EP Studies, Device procedures, Cardiothoracic Surgery).
  • Perform cardiac procedures including Stress Tests, Stress Echocardiography, Tilt Table Testing, Nuclear Stress Testing under Attending supervision.
  • Assist in Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures and perform inpatient cardiovascular consults.
  • Monitor and follow-up patients in the CCU.
  • Perform non-invasive cardiac stress testing under Attending supervision.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient/family communication.
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA.
  • Licensed to practice in New York State.
  • Experience with ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment.
  • 1 year experience preferred.
  • ACLS & BLS Certification.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary:$131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week and years of state licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage:
