Physician Assistant - Cardiology
tothe group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx
. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health.

Opportunity Details:

  • Assistin procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab suite to include diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCI, STEMI, ECMO, and endovascular/peripheral procedures.
  • Takeon call shifts with STEMI team.
  • Obtainconsent for procedures.
  • Perform focused pre-procedural history and physical exams.
  • Develop management plan in accordance with established protocols and in conjunction with the Cardiologist.
  • Overseas patient scheduling efficiency for procedures, pre- and post-clinic, and vascular medicine clinic.
  • Participates in pre- and post-procedural follow up clinic visits and vascular surgery clinic.
  • Presents each patient to Lab Director / Cath Attending at clinic, informs attending of changes in patient condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
  • Assist in immediate post-procedural management, including sheath removal.
  • Perform and/or interpret and/or order routine diagnostic studies including routine laboratory procedures, common radiological studies, and EKG tracings.
  • May assist in Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and Pacemaker.
Qualifications
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
  • ACLS required.
  • Capable of utilizing all computerized systems in the Cath Lab to include Cardiology Management systems.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred (Not Required).

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO):
    Vacation, Sick, Holiday.
