Physician - Psychiatrist

We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a full-time adult inpatient locum tenens assignment in New York. This 91-day opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, with day shifts Monday through Friday. The assignment involves providing care on a general adult behavioral health unit, with call and weekend coverage responsibilities.

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults on a general behavioral health unit, shared with one other psychiatrist (approximately 15 patients per physician)
• Participate in call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled (including evaluation of children in crisis unit only when on call)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Oversee patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of patient encounters
  
  Adhere to facility protocols and standards of care

• Board certification in Psychiatry required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Active New York medical license required at the time of submission
• Clean background required for expedited credentialing
• Self-Query NPDB report required, pulled within the same month as submission
• Must be available for full-time coverage
