An academically affiliated hospital in Upstate New York is excited to welcome a new Division Chief of Neurology and additional staff neurologists to its growing neurosciences program, in strong collaboration with the affiliated university neurosurgery department. This partnership has as its primary focus the creation of a rural “Neurosciences Center of Excellence” to serve patients in the region.
The new Division Chief of Neurology will bring expertise in general and/or subspecialty Neurology and will collaborate to recruit additional neurologists specializing in areas such as neuromuscular electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCV), movement disorders, neuroimmunology, epilepsy, pain and other subspecialties. The Division Chief position will be 70% clinical effort, which may be entirely outpatient-focused or may include some emergency coverage, and 30% administrative. Staff neurologists will join 2 current full-time neurologists and can have a 100% outpatient practice, if interested.
