Responsibilities- Providing general medical care to hospital patients and supervising appropriate therapeutic treatments.
- Diagnosing and treating various illnesses and diseases in a hospital setting.
- Examining patients upon admission.
- Coordinating care for hospitalized patients.
- Communicating with a patient's primary care physician.
- Oversees training of residents.
- Completing timely documentation, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and handoffs.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, lab work, and X-rays.
- Answering patient questions about treatments.
