SALARY: St. Louis: $66,400 - $78,850, bonus eligible

New York City: $80,000 - $95,000, bonus eligible

Role Summary

As a Packaging Designer, you’ll assess creative briefs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and craft packaging designs that align with the Beat Box brand aesthetic, engage our target audience, and meet business objectives.

You’ll also play a key role in exploring sustainable and innovative packaging materials, ensuring Beat Box remains ahead of the curve in design and environmental impact. As a Senior Packaging Designer, you will own the end-to-end creation of packaging for our growing line of products. From concept to execution, you’ll lead the charge in crafting eye-catching designs that balance creativity, functionality, and sustainability. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring every package not only looks incredible but tells the Beat Box story. If you’re a seasoned designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves solving creative challenges, and has a knack for both 2D and 3D packaging design, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own the Process:
    Lead packaging projects from concept through production, including dieline creation, prototyping, and production file preparation.
  • Collaborate & Innovate:
    Partner with marketing, product development, and external vendors to create designs that are both aesthetic and functional.
  • Trend-Forward Design:
    Stay ahead of packaging trends, materials, and printing techniques to ensure Beat Box remains relevant and competitive.
  • Champion Sustainability:
    Identify and incorporate innovative, eco-friendly materials and processes.
  • Detail-Oriented Execution:
    Ensure packaging meets brand standards, adheres to legal and market requirements, and maintains consistency across product lines.
  • Cross-Functional Communication:
    Work closely with product marketing, consumer engagement, and creative operations to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Hands-On Production:
    Oversee press runs, color evaluations, and final design approvals to guarantee production quality.
Job Qualifications
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of 3D rendering tools (e.g., Adobe Dimension, Blender) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pre-press production processes, including color separation and print file preparation.
  • Understanding of packaging production techniques and sustainability best practices.
  • Exceptional typography, color theory, and layout skills.
