DescriptionWe are looking for a super capable Senior 3D Designer based in New York, able to work on a variety of industry leading experiential projects covering interior architecture, exhibition and event design to join our integrated creative team. A deep knowledge of current trends and passion for design, combined with inherent understanding of materials and fabrication is required. This is a fulltime position and requires being in the office at least 3 days a week as well as remote.
Key ResponsibilitiesSpatial & Experience Design:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of spatial design principles to create impactful, innovative, branded environments.
- A good understanding of different design disciplines, particularly graphic design.
- An in-depth awareness of current design and art trends.
- Develop 3D concepts, layouts, and designs that align with creative briefs and brand narratives.
- Produce high-quality sketches or similar design intent drawings, and technical documentation to communicate ideas effectively.
- Possess a good understanding in materials and fabrication processes.
Visualization and Technical Ability:
- Ability to create concept visuals for initial ideas, through to high-quality renders for client presentations, ideally using packages such as Cinema 4D or similar.
- Experience with AI visualization tools.
- Well versed in creating comprehensive drawing packages for costing and briefing fabricators, using Vectorworks, including plans, elevations and detailing.
Collaboration & Execution:
- Lead discussions and presentations with clients and internal teams.
- Work closely with UX designers, 2D designers and Strategists to develop holistic creative solutions.
- Delegate to other members of the 3D team as required.
- Liaise with fabricators, engineers, and production specialists to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet production requirements.
- Support the team by preparing internal and client presentations, delivering visually compelling design assets.
- Maintain quality control over multiple projects, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Delegate upwards when necessary, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Ensure quality of design execution on-site.
Innovation & Learning:
- Keep up with emerging technologies, materials, and trends in architecture, exhibition design, and experiential marketing.
- Explore the integration of digital and physical spaces, incorporating new approaches into the design process.
- Push creative boundaries within the team and contribute to a culture of innovation.
- 5+ years of experience in 3D design, interior architecture, exhibition, or environmental design.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior, Architecture or Environmental Design is preferable.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating experience in spatial storytelling, brand experiences, and high‑quality visualizations.
- Exceptional design aesthetic, highly developed knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and production processes.
- Ability to sketch, visualize, and communicate ideas quickly.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with designers, technologists, and production specialists.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively.
- Confident presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality work under pressure.
- Enthusiastic and open‑minded, with a passion for innovation and exploring new technologies.
