HLW is currently looking for highly motivated, detail‑oriented individuals to join our New York City office during the Summer of 2026. Positions are available in both our Architectural and Interiors Studios and provide an opportunity to get hands‑on experience working collaboratively on exciting projects. The internship is expected to last from May through August.

What You Will Do
  • Work in collaboration with technical and design teams to meet deliverables for client projects.
  • Participate in studio and project‑based meetings.
  • Create and update schematic, design development, and construction document drawings.
  • Create and edit in‑house renderings.
  • Assist with research, site documentation, building code or sustainability tasks.
  • Attend site visits for ongoing projects in construction.
What We Are Looking For
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Must have completed 3 years at the undergraduate level or 1 year at the graduate level prior to the internship.
  • Technical understanding of design philosophy and capability to develop strategies to incorporate into design.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Experience working in Revit.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS Suite, 3D modeling software (Rhino, Sketch Up) and Enscape is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

The expected wage for this position is $26 per hour. We will consider relevant experience, qualifications, location, and other job‑related factors in determining compensation.
