Project Architect

MDA is seeking a Project Designer/Architect with 5+ years of experience. You will be required to communicate with clients and be responsible for managing a team and multiple projects.

• Lead project team
• Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations and project communications
• Coordinate architectural design and building systems with engineering consultants and other stakeholders
• Produce, review, and develop technical drawings and documentation with minimal supervision
• Organize and oversee drawing sets and ensure timely completion of all submissions
• Perform filing, code, zoning analyses for LPC, DOB and any other relevant agencies
• Survey and document existing conditions in the field
  
  Communicate and coordinate with external and internal team members
• Stay current with graphic standards and building construction methods
• Research construction materials and systems
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of office standards, workflows, and quality control procedures

• Master’s Degree in Architecture is required
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience
• Proven experience in detailing, producing construction documents, navigating permitting processes (DOB, LPC, or other relevant agencies) and construction administration
• Experience with high end residential projects preferred
• Applicant must be proficient in BIM modeling software Revit
• Effective written and oral communication skills for client, consultant, and team interactions
• Possess excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work closely with firm principal and production team from schematic design to completion
