SUMMARY

The National Hockey League is looking for our next class of interns to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program. The Broadcast & Studio Asset Management Intern will support a summer-long operational initiative focused on auditing, organizing, and modernizing studio and production equipment assets. This internship is project-based and designed to give hands‑on exposure to real broadcast infrastructure, technical workflows, and professional asset management practices used in live production environments.

The intern will take ownership of a structured equipment audit and organization effort, working closely with engineering and operations teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and readiness across studio spaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct a comprehensive inventory audit of all existing broadcast, studio, and production equipment
  • Track and log newly purchased and inbound equipment, ensuring accurate intake and documentation
  • Locate, identify, and reconcile existing equipment across studios, storage areas, and control rooms
  • Assist with equipment organization, storage optimization, and workspace cleanup initiatives
  • Apply and standardize equipment labeling and tagging for improved tracking and accountability
  • Support cable management projects, including re‑running and organizing cables into looms within studio environments
  • Identify, tag, and document legacy or obsolete equipment scheduled for removal or decommissioning
  • Assist with equipment removal and disposal coordination in accordance with internal procedures
  • Maintain and update detailed asset tracking spreadsheets (Excel), including serial numbers, locations, and status
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure inventory aligns with current technical configurations
QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge Areas/Experience (Required)
  • Experience in managing assets in a studio environment
  • Comfortable working with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
  • Interest in broadcast technology, or live production environments
Education/Certifications

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in an accredited university/college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

All of our internships are paid at $20/hour. WE DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL CREDIT.
