Architect, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced architect to join a leading architecture firm located in the New York City area. The architect will be providing support to project team members on a large, complex project and must possess excellent communication skills.

• Collaborate with staff and Project Managers to develop design layouts and frameworks, including preparing construction drawings, details and specifications.
• Support the project by translating decisions into actionable steps, tracking progress, and ensuring successful project execution.
• Produce technical design details, drawings and renderings that align with client needs.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing project documentation, specifications, takeoffs and calculations.
• Conduct studies of design details to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Research building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements to ensure compliance and sustainability practices.
• Work with senior and junior staff, learning and sharing expertise.
• Participate in site visits to document and assess project conditions and ensure design accuracy.
• Manage multiple tasks on different projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met through effective collaboration while requiring minimal oversight.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field is required.
• 10+ years of relevant architecture experience on large scale projects.
• Technical knowledge on facades and MEP coordination.
• Comfortable working across all phases of a project - from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA).
• Prior experience working on a large architecture or design team.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Professional License is a plus.
• This position offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
