We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join a highly creative New York studio known for bold, distinctive, and richly detailed interior projects. The team merges artistry, functionality, and material innovation across residential and hospitality spaces, creating interiors that are tactile, layered, and precise, with a strong focus on quality, proportion, and storytelling through materials and objects.
This role is versatile but leans toward FF&E and custom furniture design, including bespoke millwork. You will collaborate closely with design leads to translate conceptual visions into fully realized interiors, ensuring the seamless execution of each project. Your expertise will include sourcing antique and vintage furniture and objects, conducting thorough material research, and developing custom FF&E pieces. Strong collaborative skills are essential, as you will coordinate decorative elements with architectural design, liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers, and oversee workrooms to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship.
You will contribute to schematic design development, produce detailed millwork and FF&E packages, manage budgets, document finish schedules and material specifications, and support site supervision and installation. Additionally, you will create client presentations, incorporating visual research and design, while maintaining the studio’s signature attention to detail, quality, and aesthetic excellence.
Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance, 401(k) savings, Commuter benefits, Paid maternity and paternity leave, and Disability insurance. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on prestigious projects, offering an exciting and rewarding challenge with ongoing development, perfect for experienced design professionals looking to make an impact.
