New York City‑based and award‑winning interior design studio, Whitehall Interiors, is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer. We are seeking candidates that are pro‑active, creative and organized.

About the Role

The role involves a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and project management. Candidates will be working under the supervision of a Design Director / Senior Designer, and will work closely with a team of interior designers, production/documentation, various industry vendors, consultants on projects spanning multi‑family, hospitality, and residential. The ideal candidate will show transversal expertise and combine creativity, technical knowledge, and material understanding.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a Design Director / Senior Designer.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of interior designers, production/documentation, and various industry vendors.
  • Engage in projects spanning multi‑family, hospitality, and residential sectors.
  • Demonstrate creativity and technical knowledge in design.
Qualifications
  • 4‑year Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 3‑5+ years of post‑graduate experience in the multi‑family and hospitality sector; preferably in the NYC market.
Required Skills
  • Deep expertise in the DD and CD phase, with a strong portfolio of visual presentation and material palettes.
  • Knowledge in construction, finishes, materials, manufacturing methods, and production processes.
  • Knowledge of design trends and best practices; desire for exploration of latest trends and materials.
  • Good relationship with vendors is a plus.
  • Understanding of building systems, detailing, and typical construction standards, codes and means and methods.
  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), Auto Cad, Lumion, and Enscape.
  • Knowledge for custom millwork, furniture, lighting and hardware design, drawing and detailing and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Specification software Specsourse is a must.
  • Must be outgoing, engaged, and proactive, with a team mindset.
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
