Position: Client Experience & Studio Coordinator
Location: New York

Hardman Design creates made-to-order solid hardwood furniture crafted from FSC-certified wood and produced in Europe with a focus on material integrity and careful construction.

We are seeking a Client Experience & Studio Coordinator to support client communication, showroom appointments, and studio operations while working directly with the founders. This hands-on role plays a central part in guiding clients from first inquiry through quoting, sample coordination, and final sale.

Position Details:
  • Start Date ASAP Full-time (up to 40 hrs/week)
  • Brooklyn, NY (appointment-based showroom)
  • Typically Wednesday–Saturday in showroom (based on scheduled appointments; other time may be remote)
  • Two consecutive days off (typically Sunday and Monday)
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client inquiries via Zendesk (email and phone)
  • Ensure timely follow-up across active projects
  • Assist in preparing custom quotes in collaboration with the founders
  • Coordinate samples and shipments
  • Host scheduled showroom consultations (in-person and virtual)
  • Present upholstery, wood species, finishes, and customization options clearly and confidently
  • Maintain and organize the showroom space
  • Assist with furniture installation, display repositioning, and delivery coordination
  • Prepare quick product photos or walkthrough videos as needed
  • Support additional client-related and studio tasks as required
Requirements
  • Independent, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Responsive and proactive
  • Professional and client-focused demeanor
  • Ability to lift and move display pieces (20–30 lbs)
  • Saturday availability required
  • 1–3 years of client-facing or operations experience preferred
  • Interest in furniture, design, or interiors a strong plus
Compensation & Benefits
  • $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience
