About the JobHandel Architects is seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior BIM Coordinator to join our New York office. In this role, you will work within a highly collaborative environment on a wide range of large, impactful urban projects, serving as a mentor and technical guide to project teams. We are seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator who is committed to advancing the role of technology in our industry, driving innovation in digital workflows, and leading teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated project outcomes.
You will collaborate with Design Technology leadership to implement firmwide standards at the project level, guiding modeling and documentation workflows, and ensuring effective coordination with consultants and extended project stakeholders.
- Lead project model setup, organization, and work sharing strategy
- Monitor model health, performance, and standards compliance
- Develop and maintain project-specific parametric content where required
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of shared parametric content and BIM resources
- Assist project teams with complex modeling tasks and technical problem-solving to support design and documentation needs
- Support drawing production through view, sheet, and data management
- Coach and support project teams in adopting firm BIM standards and workflows
- Contribute feedback from project teams to improve firmwide BIM practices
- Support onboarding new hires and upskilling existing employees through 1:1 Revit training and coaching
- Document and communicate project-level workflow improvements to support evolving BIM standards
- Assist in onboarding new projects and establishing BIM coordination protocols
- Implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in collaboration with project leadership
- Manage consultant model integration and maintain coordination workflows
- Run and interpret clash detection and model audits
- Facilitate interoperability between Autodesk Revit and consultant platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline
- 4 - 8 years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit in a project delivery environment
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale or technically complex projects
- Experience supporting projects through multiple phases, including Construction Documents
- Proficiency in model coordination, work sharing, and drawing production workflows
- Familiarity with clash detection tools and interdisciplinary coordination processes
- Working knowledge of computational design tools such as Dynamo or Grasshopper
- Understanding of BIM Execution Planning and consultant coordination protocols
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent project teams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to guide technical workflows within collaborative environments
- Comfortable building relationships, communicating directly with senior leadership and junior employees, and presenting to groups
- Flexible and able to adapt to individual learning styles and pace of learning
Demonstrated ability to work independently within project teams - Salary Range: $75,000- $90,000 commensurate with experience
