Location: New York
A design-driven, award-recognized architecture and interiors studio based in New York City is seeking an Intermediate Hospitality Interior Architect to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on thoughtfully crafted hospitality, wellness, retail, and workplace environments for forward-thinking clients who value originality, craft, and experience-driven design.
This role is ideal for a motivated designer with a strong technical foundation and a refined design eye, who is eager to take ownership of projects and grow within a collaborative studio culture. You will work closely with senior leadership, consultants, and clients to bring complex interior environments to life – from early concept through construction.
The studio fosters a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment where designers are empowered to contribute meaningfully, take responsibility, and develop their professional voice. Key Responsibilities- Manage small hospitality or commercial interior projects, or support medium‑scale projects through all design and construction phases
- Lead coordination with consultants including MEP, structural, lighting, and specialty vendors
- Develop design concepts, spatial narratives, and presentation materials that express strong experiential storytelling.
- Produce and execute high‑quality SD, DD, and CD drawing sets using Revit
- Prepare permit documentation and assist with local agency and landlord review processes
- Track project schedules, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful execution
- Serve as a primary point of contact for day‑to‑day client communication
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration with clarity sketches and field coordination
- Select, specify, and manage FF&E and decorative lighting packages from sourcing through installation
- Contribute creative problem‑solving and thoughtful design solutions to unique project challenges
- Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
- 3–8 years of post‑graduate professional experience, with hospitality or commercial interiors strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects through DD, CD, and construction administration phases
- Advanced proficiency in Revit (including family creation and documentation workflows) and Enscape
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel
- Experience with FF&E sourcing, specification, and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with NYC building codes and permitting processes
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and consultants
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative studio environment
