Job Title:
Manufacturing Shift Leader
Summary:

Responsibilities Include:
- Lead daily shift operations across multiple production lines, ensuring safety, quality, schedule attainment, and adherence to manufacturing procedures.
- Drive EHS performance through Safe Work Permit stewardship, compliance activities, and participation in emergency response/brigade leadership.
- Set clear expectations and coach operators, overseeing training, skill development, and performance feedback.
- Communicate effectively across shifts using MOS tools and lead shift meetings to drive alignment on goals, KPIs, and safety updates.
- Monitor & drive production output and KPIs, escalating issues quickly and driving corrective actions.
- Contribute to sitewide initiatives, including the Area Safety Plan, Continuous Improvement efforts, and quality reviews.
- Create and manage work orders for preventive maintenance and repairs while partnering with Maintenance leadership on daily priorities.
- Model and enforce the Momentive Code of Conduct, fostering accountability, teamwork, and strong shift engagement.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Associate's degree and at least 3 years of manufacturing and influencing/management experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Must be able to successfully complete and maintain medical clearance for interior fire fighter.
- Proven ability to develop, coach, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with active listening and clear direction-giving.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and sound judgment under pressure.
- Commitment to safety excellence and consistent application of workplace and EHS policies.
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant management or leadership experience.
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment with a collective bargaining unit.
- Strong background in chemical operations.
- Solid process-troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly.
- Knowledge of constraint-management principles.
What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $89,500 - $131,450
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.

Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
