Designer - Lifestyle Accessories & Trim

Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Designer to join our team in New York, New York. This position will support the design and execution of all Lifestyle Accessories as well as trim for all categories. The right candidate will combine their knowledge of design and manufacturing to create accessories that accentuate the line and trim that enhances individual styles.

• Support our Senior Product Designer in all lifestyle accessories, including home, hard goods, soft goods, jewelry and packaged styles.
• Support in seasonal trim/packaging sourcing, research and concepting
• Meticulously maintain seasonal trim and packaging libraries.
• Create and maintain design renderings, orthographic drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear communication for internal teams and overseas vendors.
• Collaborate with product development teams and manufacturing partners to refine designs, ensuring quality, feasibility, and adherence to brand standards.
• Conduct market and trend research to identify new product opportunities and stay informed of competitive offerings.
• Develop and review 3D models and renderings (Rhino, Key Shot) to visualize design concepts and communicate intent effectively.
• Support prototype development, including building mock-ups, reviewing samples, and providing feedback to vendors for design refinement.
• Support the design team with factory coordination of developments and in-stock trim needs in relation to the Design calendar.

• 3-5 years experience in product, lifestyle, or home design.
• Degree in Design or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in 3D model rendering, AI program experience a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Must be organized and illustrate a keen attention to detail.
• Commitment to brand identity and a focus on business growth.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
