Project Architect

We are looking for a motivated, thoughtful, and detail-oriented candidate to join our dynamic team.

Founded in 1960, ESKW/Architects is a 40-person architectural firm based in New York City with a dedication to the non‑profit and institutional sectors. Education, housing, and healthcare are the cornerstones of our practice, and fostering long‑term relationships is a common thread throughout our history. We design community‑focused projects that provide inclusive access to shelter, education, and culture for all.

• Lead development of Documents for projects of different scales including residential, education, healthcare, and/or institutional projects, including new construction, and adaptive reuse projects.
• Coordinate and produce Construction Document for all project phases, including schematic design through construction administration.
• Maintain strong communication with the Project manager, Partners, architectural team and consultants, managing relationships throughout the project.
• During Construction, attend site visits and construction meetings, prepare minutes and manage response to RFI’s and submittals.

• Experience with institutional, education, healthcare, multifamily, and affordable housing projects including knowledge of NYC Zoning and Building Code.
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Experience developing Construction Documents including details, managing a small team, and coordinating consultants.
• Experience in Construction Administration
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite.

Compensation $85,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience and skills
