Designer - Tech Accessories

Our client in the housewares manufacturing industry is looking for a Tech Accessory Designer to help launch and grow an exciting new product category. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity based in NYC, ideal for a mid-level designer who understands the tech accessories market and can bring commercially successful products from concept to shelf.

• Design and develop tech accessories including phone cases, Air Pod cases, charging cables, speakers, and related products
• Research trends, materials, finishes, and innovations within the tech accessories market
• Translate concepts into detailed tech packs for overseas manufacturing
• Partner with factories and vendors to ensure design intent, quality, and cost targets are achieved
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, sourcing, and sales teams
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ensure all designs align with retail price points and margin goals

• 3–6+ years of experience designing consumer tech accessories or small electronic-related products
• Strong understanding of materials, production methods, and cost engineering
• Experience creating professional tech packs and working with overseas factories
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or other relevant design software
• Ability to balance trend-forward design with commercial viability
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field preferred
