This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY, for a Hosiery Design Director. The role entails leading the design team in creating innovative hosiery collections, managing the design process from concept to production, and ensuring brand alignment through cohesive designs. The individual will oversee the development of product designs, provide creative direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with market trends and customer needs.
Additional responsibilities include managing construction drawing reviews, material selection, and adherence to production schedules.
- Design Management and Branding expertise to lead creative teams and develop cohesive, market-aligned product lines
- Proficiency in Product Design and Construction Drawings to oversee technical design and ensure production accuracy
- Experience in Fashion and Architecture to integrate innovative trends and concepts into high-quality hosiery designs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
- Familiarity with industry-standard design software and tools
- Prior experience in hosiery design or apparel development is highly preferred
