The Gallery & Design Assistant supports the daily operations of the Artemest Galleria while also assisting with interior design services for both private consumer clients and trade clients. The role involves supporting FF&E selections, design packages, and client presentations for Artemest’s consumer‑facing Design Services as well as for interior designers, architects, and trade partners. This position is ideal for a junior interior designer or recent interior design graduate looking to gain hands‑on experience across gallery operations, client‑facing design services, and trade project support within a luxury design environment.
GalleryOperations & Client Experience
- Support the day‑to‑day operations of the Artemest Galleria, ensuring a polished, welcoming, and best‑in‑class luxury experience for all visitors.
- Assist with gallery maintenance, organization, and sample room management, ensuring displays meet brand and visual merchandising standards.
- Welcome private clients, interior designers, architects, and trade partners, providing initial guidance on Artemest’s collections and design services.
- Assist with gallery exhibitions, installations, and events as needed.
- Assist in the development of interior design and FF&E packages for private consumer clients, including mood boards, layouts, and product selections.
- Support FF&E selections and presentation materials for trade clients, including interior designers and architects.
- Assist in the creation of custom design packages using Artemest’s curated product assortment and Design Service framework.
- Support New York Account Managers and the Trade team with client presentations, product decks, and proposals.
- Participate in client meetings at the Galleria or on site to understand style preferences, functional needs, and budget considerations.
- Liaise with Artemest headquarters in Milan to coordinate samples, quotations, lead times, and bespoke requests for both consumer and trade projects.
- Assist with basic site visits and measurements to support design accuracy and installation readiness.
- Support project coordination from early design stages through order confirmation, delivery, and installation for consumer and trade clients.
- Support client data entry, profiling, and follow‑ups using the company CRM for both consumer and trade clients.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with private clients, interior designers, architects, and trade partners in collaboration with the Gallery Manager and Trade team.
- Support post‑sale follow‑ups and ongoing client communication to ensure a high level of service.
Working schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday, aligned with gallery opening hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Design, or a related field (or currently completing).
- 0–2 years of experience in interior design, a gallery, luxury furniture brand, or design studio.
- Strong interest in interior design services, FF&E, galleries, and the art and design world.
- Aesthetic sensibility and passion for high‑end interiors, materials, and craftsmanship.
- Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn across both consumer and trade projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with design software is a plus.
- Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday in line with gallery operations.
