N H D M is a New York-based practice for design and research operating at the intersection of architecture and urbanism, founded by its partners Nahyun Hwang and David Eugin Moon. The firm focuses on cultural/institutional, dwelling, community and public space projects, urban landscapes, and territorial scale design and research. N H D M is a NYC M/WMBE.

We are seeking a highly committed and design-oriented Architect or Architectural Designer with the ability to effectively manage and execute the Construction Documentation (CD) and Construction Administration (CA) phases.

• Opportunity to work in a studio environment, shaping projects from initial concept through final execution.
• Significant responsibility for driving projects forward and making meaningful design decisions.
• Collaborate with principals and contributors on culturally significant, design-forward projects with contributions visible from early research to detailed documentation and on-site problem solving during construction.

• Professional degree: M.Arch or
  
  B.Arch from an accredited institution.
• Hands‑on experience in DD, CD, and CA phases of design-oriented projects, and ability to independently and collaboratively coordinate and execute documentation and administration.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• NYC based.

• Experience with adaptive reuse projects.
• Working knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning regulations.
• Familiarity with art, spaces of space, and cultural/institutional programs.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill level.
