We are headquartered in New York City with two smaller offices in Atlanta and Boston.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to join our Interior Department, in the New York office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in interior architectural design and construction documentation, with the ability to guide and support all interiors design teams while ensuring that the design intent is accurately captured and executed and to lead the QA/QC process for the interiors department.
Key Responsibilities- Work with all interior design teams to develop and organize comprehensive construction document sets, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Effectively coordinate with the design teams in Revit.
- Demonstrate expertise in building envelop waterproofing, structural systems, curtain wall, and storefront systems.
- Identify common recurring errors, such as inconsistent drawings or mismatched specifications, to prevent costly delays during construction for design teams.
- Provide ongoing support and training for staff on documentation and graphic standards, software usage, code updates, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with MEP/FA systems to ensure seamless integration and coordination.
- Offer technical guidance and support to the design team, bridging the gap between concept and execution.
- Maintain a strong eye for design and detail, ensuring that architectural elements align with the intended vision.
- Set up structured review processes, such as the recommended QA meetings for each project, including kickoff, code conformance, and final checks.
- Collaborate with BIM team to help define and revise to better standards throughout the entire firm.
- 10-15 years of proven experience in architectural detailing and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Firm Revit Standards
- Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and technical coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor and support design teams in executing high-quality architectural projects.
