Rhythm are working closely with a well-established architecture studio in Manhattan that is looking to hire a Project Architect / Senior Architect with strong technical leadership and Revit expertise. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning projects from design development through construction and collaborating closely with internal teams and external consultants.
The RoleThis position sits at a true Project Architect level
. You’ll be responsible for the coordination, documentation, and technical execution of projects, while working alongside principals and project managers to ensure design intent is carried through to delivery.
- Lead projects from Design Development through Construction Administration
- Produce and coordinate Revit-based construction documentation
- Manage consultant coordination (structural, MEP, lighting, specialist consultants)
- Oversee drawing quality, standards, and internal deadlines
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
- Participate in client and consultant meetings
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to smooth project delivery across multiple phases
- 7+ years of professional experience post-degree and post-internship
- Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- Confident coordinating consultants and managing technical workflows
- Solid knowledge of NYC building codes, permitting, and construction processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not supported for this role
Candidates coming from multifamily residential, mixed-use, commercial, or large scale institutional project backgrounds will be well suited. Prior experience in a Project Architect or senior technical role within a NYC studio is highly beneficial.
