Architect / Sr. Architect, Engineering Design & Technologists, CAD/ AutoCAD/ Mechanical Design, Environmental/ Urban Planning
There was a time in this industry when you sharpened your pencil before a big deadline, traced over vellum, and learned construction details by standing on job sites with a coffee in hand. The tools have changed, the pace has quickened, and the way we communicate has evolved - but the heart of architecture hasn’t moved an inch. It’s still about curiosity, rigor, collaboration, and the satisfaction of seeing a line on a drawing become something real.
As the market continues its familiar ebb and flow, we’re seeking an Intermediate Architect to join a leading internationally recognized design firm based in NYC - someone ready to roll up their sleeves, contribute meaningfully to project teams, and grow into the next chapter of their career.
This is a role for an architect who enjoys both the creative spark and the technical backbone of the profession - someone who can move comfortably between concept and construction, design and documentation, vision and execution.
The Role
You’ll be part of a collaborative, design-focused studio working across large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. From early design through construction documentation — and occasionally onto the job site — you’ll help translate ideas into buildable reality. Along the way, you’ll coordinate with consultants, engage with project managers, and contribute to a culture where questions are encouraged and mentorship is part of the daily rhythm.
What We Value
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- Brings 4+ years of professional experience in North American or comparable construction markets
- Has experience with large-scale, complex, new construction projects
- Is proficient in Revit and comfortable producing and organizing drawing sets
- Has taken at least one project through the full design and documentation process
- Understands how buildings go together — and is genuinely interested in building technology, construction methods, and sustainability
- Can review, interpret, and coordinate consultant drawings
- Has a working knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements
- Manages time well, meets deadlines, and keeps calm when schedules tighten
- Communicates clearly — in drawings, in writing, and across the table
- Works well in teams, takes direction constructively, and adjusts course when needed
- Enjoys being in the studio, collaborating in real time with colleagues
Bonus Points
- Experience with Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, or V-Ray
- Familiarity with construction administration: RFIs, CCDs, site visits, punch lists
- Progress toward architectural licensure
Why This Studio
Because architecture is still best learned by doing - together. We believe in strong project culture, open dialogue, shared problem-solving, and passing knowledge forward. You’ll find opportunity here to grow your technical depth, sharpen your design instincts, and take on increasing responsibility.
