Intermediate Architect

Prepare and maintain architectural drawings for construction, alteration of building structures.

• Perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring applications of standardized drawing techniques.
• Possess knowledge of N.Y.C. Building Code and Zoning Resolutions.
• Preparation of design development and construction documents for approval and construction.
• Confer with client or client representative in conjunction with Job Captain/Architectural Director to determine project requirements and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate all details, dimensions, notations and specifications as required.
• Perform field tasks including but not limited to measure and draft existing conditions, photography of affected areas and verification of information received from others.
• Perform site planning, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and acoustical engineering and coordination.
• Collaborate with consultants and coordinate construction documents and specifications as required.
• Maintain adequate timelines for projects.
• Notify Project Manager/Architectural Director of successfully completed or finished projects.
• All documentation to be maintained in office folders in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a professional environment and promote a positive image for the company.

• Minimum of 6 years of practical experience
• Knowledge of NYC Building and Energy Codes (3+ years)
• Working Knowledge of Auto Cad required
• Working Knowledge of Revit preferred
• Ability to work as part of design team
• Desire to learn and contribute
