Our New York office is looking for a dynamic Creative Director who will will lead the design vision while overseeing the successful planning and delivery of projects for our NY Studio. This hybrid role combines high- level creative leadership with strong project oversight across all phases—from concept to implementation. You will work closely with partners, principals, designers, and clients across a range of built environment projects including signage, way finding, and experiential graphic design (EGD).

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the design vision across multiple projects and teams.
• Guide conceptual development, storytelling, and design briefs that align with client goals and project objectives.
• Oversee design quality through QA/QC reviews at all phases.
• Mentor, delegate, and support junior to intermediate level through design development.
• Facilitate internal design charrettes, workshops, and client presentations.
• Ensure consistent and innovative use of materials, methods, and creative techniques.
• Maintain and evolve Entro’s creative standards, contributing to our internal knowledge base.
• Support studio culture through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and team building activities.

Project Oversight & Management

• Manage multiple, concurrent projects across all phases—from schematic design to post- construction.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, workbacks, budgets, and resourcing plans with project coordinators and project directors.
• Collaborate with Studio Director, Partners, and design teams to track milestones and deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
• Coordinate contract documentation, technical drawings, and submittals with the design team.
• Apply construction knowledge to assess constructibility, compliance, and risk.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, timelines, and budget with project coordinators.

Team & Client Development

• Participate in business development efforts, including proposals, networking events, and client outreach.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of design team members.
• Promote a collaborative, communicative, and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Architecture, or a related design field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in experiential graphic design, way finding, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience in project management within the built environment.
• Strong design portfolio with demonstrated leadership in strategy, concept, and execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with construction processes and contract administration is an asset.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience in a professional design consultancy or multidisciplinary studio is preferred.
