Industrial Designer I or II

Originated in New York City, Core Home is one of the fastest growing companies in the housewares industry. Presenting food prep, serving, storage, hydration, cookware, and more, with an eye for fashion and function. Our experienced team of designers and product developers are constantly working to translate popular trends into innovative products for everyday life.

As we continue to grow we are looking to increase the team to help on new development in several categories. You will be working directly with our established team of talented designers and product development specialists, gaining a ton of experience while seeing projects through from start to finish at this fast paced, hardworking company in the heart of NYC.

• Product Development
  • Rapid ideation sketching
  • Proof of concept and visual prototyping
  • 3D Modeling visualization
  • DFM CAD
  • CMF direction
  • Communicating with manufacturing partners to bring the product to life
• Product Rendering
  • Produce realistic renderings for presentation
  • Create in store merchandising renderings for presentation

• 2-4 years of professional experience working in Industrial Design.
• Experience communicating with overseas manufacturers.
• Highly proficient in 3D and 2D design software. Solid Works and Key Shot required. Illustrator and Photoshop strongly suggested.
• Ability to translate sketch concept into CAD efficiently and accurately.
• Strong understanding of 3D geometry and complex surfaces.
• Highly experienced in Solidworks surfacing with the ability to translate complex surfaces effectively with continuous surfaces.
• Understanding of most common manufacturing processes. Experience with injection molded parts is required.
• Resume detailing prior work experience & portfolio showcasing completed work as well as the full design process from ideation through manufactured product.
