Design Assistant

Cyrus Knits is a wholesale women’s knitwear company focused on private label development and selling direct to retailers across the globe. Founded in 1988, the company currently has a presence in over 5,000 retail stores nationwide.

We are seeking a Design Assistant to support the design team throughout the sweater development process. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong interest in knitwear who is eager to learn, develop technical skills, and grow within a fast-paced, collaborative design environment.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic understanding of sweater construction, fit, and standard specifications
• Interest in knitwear, yarns, gauges, and stitch development

• Assist the Head Designer and design team throughout the design lifecycle, from concept through production
• Create flat sketches and assist with design updates using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Support the creation and maintenance of tech packs and design documentation
• Help prepare spec samples and maintain organized design records
• Track samples and assist with follow-ups on revisions and approvals
• Support fittings and help document fit comments and corrections
• Maintain organization and accuracy across all design-related files
