Job Description
The Graphic Designer, Store Development is a creative and detail‑oriented team member who supports the execution of print, digital, and environmental design projects across Eataly’s new store developments as well as maintenance and renovations in existing ones. The role assists in creating signage, layouts, and assets that bring Eataly’s brand identity to life in physical spaces. The designer reports to the Director of Marketing and collaborates with cross‑functional teams including Store Planning and Design & Construction.
Responsibilities
- Develop signage concepts and layouts based on architectural drawings and brand guidelines
- Produce environmental graphics and way finding systems for new store openings
- Prepare design files and mock‑ups for internal review and production
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for print production and installation logistics
- Create and update digital and print assets for Kampala communication using Adobe Creative Suite
- Identify and communicate correct material and installation methods to vendors
- Maintain consistency with allied brand standards across all italic visual materials
- Participate in project meetings and help track timelines and deliverables
- Review vendor proofs and photos to ensure design accuracy and quality
- Track project expenses and organize invoices for submission and approval
- Stay informed on trends in signage, materials, and environmental design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience (internship or freelance experience welcome)
- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Interest in retail, environmental, or architectural design
- Familiarity with reading architectural plans
- Understanding of materials and installation methods
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Ability to take direction, receive feedback constructively, and work collaboratively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
