Join to apply for the Project Manager/Senior Interior Decorator role at Business of Home. This dual‑role position requires exceptional leadership and creativity with at least 5 years of experience at a senior level in a high‑end residential interior decorating firm.
Key Responsibilities- Lead creative development of high‑end residential projects, producing original concepts while working closely with the Principal.
- Manage client presentations, communications, and relationships professionally.
- Develop comprehensive design schemes, furniture plans, finish schedules and lighting plans.
- Sourcing of luxury furniture, fabrics, finishes, art, and accessories.
- Prepare and oversee client presentations, including mood boards, drawings, and sample boards.
- Liaise with artisans and workrooms.
- Create, manage, and maintain detailed project timelines, budgets, and critical path schedules while troubleshooting issues.
- Manage relationships with contractors, architects, artisans, vendors, and trades.
- Manage project financials, including billing, change orders, and client invoices.
- Coordinate project installations.
- Collaborate effectively with Principal, design team, and support staff; delegate tasks and provide clear direction to junior designers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field, and a minimum 5‑10 years of progressive experience in high‑end residential interior decorating firm.
- Mastery of design software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite).
- PROFICIENCY IN DESIGN MANAGEMENT OR SIMILAR PROJECT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED.
- Extensive knowledge of luxury furniture brands, antiques, fabrics, finishes, etc.
- Impeccable taste and refined design sensibility.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and client‑relation skills.
- Superior organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a calm, authoritative demeanor.
- Unwavering attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential client information.
