We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about residential design, eager to grow, and ready to contribute fresh ideas. You will assist in all phases of the design process, from concept development to project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with a Senior Designer to provide support on all phases of the design process. Primary focus being on drafting, procurement, production and documentation.
- Assist in preparing presentations for clients by gathering samples, contributing to design concepts, and presentation layouts for residential projects.
- Source furniture, fabrics, finishes, and materials aligned with client needs and project vision.
- Draft floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, and details using AutoCAD. Sketchup or Revit 3d capabilities are a plus but not required.
- Compile and maintain project schedules and coordination documents. Organize all project materials.
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in project installations, including final styling of project.
- Support the Senior Designer by taking detailed meeting minutes during all meetings, especially client meetings. Documenting minutes in a concise summarization and drafting next steps to distribute to Senior Designer and Design Director.
- Conduct site visits and measure spaces for design planning.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and design innovations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in residential interior design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and textiles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Passion for interior design with a strong sense of creativity and innovation.
