Architectural Design Senior Specialist
Our client is looking for an experienced architect who can independently lead projects while providing thought leadership and design expertise. This position requires excellent diplomacy and relationship building skills. Success in this role requires close collaboration with colleagues, business partners, commercial teammates, and external vendors. Licensed architects are preferred, but a license is not required. Ideal candidates will have experience in the luxury industry, however experience in high-end residential or hospitality industries are also suitable.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements :- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
- Exceptional hand sketching and design detailing abilities are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Mastery of BIM technology, Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD and Photoshop
- Previous experience working within an in-house retail design/brand studio or as a store designer
- Ability to conceptualize spatial designs and architectural brand imaging
- Adeptness to communicate effectively with architects, suppliers, shop fitters, general contractors and stakeholders
- Experience with resource management platforms like Airtable or Monday’s a plus
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
- In-depth understanding of the design process with a proven ability to create compelling propositions and drawing sets.
- Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Understanding of sustainability principles
- Expert at building systems and materials principles
- Leadership and mentorship skills
- Fluency is French not required, but a plus
- Accredited degree in Architecture
- 7+ Years Relevant Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; to write and perform data entry on a desktop computer. The employee is occasionally required to sit/walk/bend; lift and/or carry no more than 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, frequent reading. The noise level in the work environment is usually low but may be loud at construction sites. The employee may be required to use a hammer, drill, screw driveror other tools. The normal work schedule is 37.5 hours per week. May be required to travel to Point of Sale (POS) up to 50% of the time – as needed.
