About the Role
A highly regarded, design‑led architecture studio in New York City is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join its close‑knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior, hands‑on role within a small practice known for thoughtful, well‑crafted work across high‑end residential and boutique commercial projects.
The studio operates in a collaborative, calm, and highly engaged environment, where everyone is closely involved in the full life of a project. This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, contributing to design discussions, and seeing projects through from early concept to completion.
You’ll work closely with the principals, play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of projects, and act as a steady presence in the studio, supporting and mentoring more junior team members as the practice continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Lead projects from concept design through documentation and delivery
- Produce and coordinate detailed architectural drawing sets
- Work closely with principals, consultants, and clients
- Support and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, approachable way
- Contribute to design development, detailing, and problem solving across multiple projects
- 7–10 years of professional architectural experience
- Strong architectural background with a high level of technical proficiency
- Experience working in small or design‑led studios
- Confident producing and coordinating drawing sets (AutoCAD required; Revit experience beneficial)
- Calm, collaborative personality with a hands‑on mindset
