Associate Designer/Designer – Outdoor Men’s and Women’s

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Designer to support the design and development of men’s outdoor and active apparel. This role works closely with Senior Designers, Product Development, Merchandising, and Technical Design to help bring performance-driven, functional, and trend-relevant products to market. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in outdoor and active lifestyles, understands technical performance fabrics, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Support the design team in creating seasonal collections for men’s outdoor and active apparel
• Assist with concept development, mood boards, color palettes, and fabric/trims research
• Create and update technical sketches and CADs for apparel styles
• Assist in developing tech packs, including construction details, measurements, and trim callouts
• Research trends in outdoor, performance, and active wear markets, including competitive analysis
• Participate in fabric, trim, and color selection with a focus on performance, durability, and sustainability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, and Technical Design teams
• Review samples and assist in fit, construction, and design revisions
• Maintain organized design files, line sheets, and seasonal archives
• Support seasonal line reviews and presentations

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in apparel design (men’s, outdoor, active, or performance preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools
• Understanding of performance fabrics, garment construction, and fit for active wear
• Ability to interpret trends while maintaining brand identity and functionality
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for outdoor, active, or athletic lifestyles is a plus

• Experience designing or assisting with men’s outdoor, athletic, or performance apparel
• Familiarity with technical design processes and factory communication
• Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly materials
• Experience working in a wholesale environment
