Base pay range$40.00/hr - $50.00/hr
OverviewReal Estate - Project Planning and Development (PPD) Associate Architect position will support various projects across the RE portfolio from capital projects, administration of corporate furniture program (XM1) and space assessments.
Responsibilities- They will drive for the consistent application of sound architectural principles and overall space aesthetics.
- The Associate Architect will plan, develop, and implement projects to ensure applicable codes and corporate guidelines are met.
- They will be responsible to maintain a consistent high standard for design at the best value cost to promote efficient operations, employee productivity, morale, and a positive public impact.
- They will directly coordinate with Manager, internal customers, engineers, planners and be responsible for the correctness of drawings, resolve, make, or approve field design changes.
- The candidate must be energetic, motivated, organized, and a professional who possesses strong written and oral communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with demonstrated initiative and commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellence.
- They must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Review, create and develop design solutions that align with company priorities for safety, operational excellence, customer experience, cost.
- Review project plans conform to NYS, NYC building codes to include Energy Conservation Code, NYC Local Laws, FDNY regulations, NYC Department of Buildings and ADA Guidelines and or other legal regulations.
- Prepares project scope and reports documents by collecting, analyzing, surveying and summarizing data, trends and site conditions.
- Obtains final architectural design approvals by presenting and explaining designs to Manager and RE Director; making design and cost revisions where required.
- Prepare and perform cost benefit analysis, estimates, schedules and all related project documents.
- Knowledge of ergonomics and can apply principals.
- Review and approve architectural design scope in the company's drawings repository system for record when required.
- Work closely with Manager to review Corporate Standards.
- Coordinate, direct, peer check and review work of other architects, designers, engineers and consultants.
