Position: Project Coordinator (Design Development)
Location: New York

Project Coordinator (Design Development) – Le Frak

A well‑established real estate developer is seeking a Project Coordinator for their offices in Manhattan, NY and Jersey City, NJ. The individual will assist with managing and coordinating development‑related projects for a mix of multi‑family residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and amenity properties.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing all aspects of development projects
  • Review blueprints and drawings for all designated projects, including providing comments and take‑offs
  • Track and manage project scheduling
  • Act as Owner Liaison to architects, contractors, commercial tenants, etc.
  • Request estimates and assist with the bid process to ensure successful close, including assisting to write scopes of works and pricing sheets
  • Follow design guidelines and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Assist with the successful negotiation and pricing of design services
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures to increase communication and overall efficiency
  • Assist with managing subcontractor activities and FF&E material ordering
  • Participate in the planning phase of construction projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with consultants, vendor contacts, and leads
  • Prepare well‑written reports and business correspondence
  • Administrative duties to include meeting minutes, team updates, project tracking, and design coordination
  • Additional duties as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design‑related academic field
  • 0–2 years’ experience
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints
  • Background in architecture, interior design or civil engineering is a plus
  • Possesses a proactive attitude, flexibility, and quick adaptation to different issues and circumstances that arise
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities, contributes to building a positive team spirit, and puts the success of the team above one’s own interests
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Follows instructions and responds to management direction; commits to working to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan
  • Proficiency in design software (Auto Desk, Revit, Sketch Up, etc.) and Microsoft Office. Must demonstrate ability to sketch or render either directly or using AI tools
  • Licensure or stamp not required although advantageous
  • Strong interest or experience in the built environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
