Base pay range$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
The Architectural Division at LaBella provides comprehensive planning and design services for a wide variety of markets, including Healthcare, K‑12 and Higher Education, Residential, Commercial, and Municipal State Corrections. We are currently hiring a Project Architect/Designer in our Architectural division at our growing and energetic Potsdam, NY office. We believe architecture is more than creating, maintaining, and resurrecting the buildings in which we live, work, learn, and engage — it's about beautifying and bettering the communities we call home.
Responsibilities- Develop construction drawings and specifications for issuance to the project manager/architect for review.
- Perform construction administration and apply applicable building codes.
- Work with large project teams, including outside subconsultants, to ensure all aspects of the project are met.
- Delegate aspects of work to the Project Technician and coordinate with all other disciplines.
- Assist the Project Manager with client meetings, design team meetings, and construction administration.
- Lead, communicate, coordinate, and motivate with minimal guidance.
- Degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect in the state of New York (desirable but not required).
- 4+ years of experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of New York State building codes.
- Strong technical design and construction document skills.
- Well‑developed project design and planning skills.
- Excellent graphic presentation skills.
- CAD experience (AutoCAD and Revit) preferred.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
